REFORMATORY CHURCH AND PARISH HOUSE

Since 1409, Pachir has appeared in historical sources. In Turkish defterers it was written in 1582 with 16 taxable houses. After the expulsion of the Ottomans, the Serbian border was settled in the desert. Hungarian colonists of the reformed faith from Kunschag came in 1786. The Reformation raises the church from the churchyard in 1791. The church expanded with a tower of hard material in 1810.
Today’s church was erected between 1833 and 1835 in the Baroque style with elements of classicism. The builder was a Serb Jovan Pandić Janoš (died in 1845).
The vivid surface of the outer facade facades was made by the master with alternating rhythms of two, one above the second, a semicircularly finished window, and one high, arched and consistent with their proportions. The interior is a standard symmetrical composition of space, divided into three parts with a “paradise” of wood and a preacher in the middle. The space is over here spherical vaults.
